LEGO Art Show
Par.a.dox, the latest addition to Loveland’s vibrant art scene—a combination art gallery/art bar/art venue—is thrilled to announce its inaugural art show in honor of Loveland’s rich history with LEGO. This will be a juried show by none other than Denver’s own ANDREW NOVICK.
In 1965, the city witnessed the construction of one of the first LEGO manufacturing factories in the United States. The 50,000 sq. ft. building was uniquely designed to resemble LEGO bricks along its exterior. In order to celebrate all things LEGO and a cool little nugget of Loveland history, we’ve curated a LEGO-themed art show!
February 16th – March 10th, 2024
Andrew Novick was born in Colorado and has been creating most of his life: screenprinting, fronting bands, photography, collecting, “performing” PowerPoints, immersive food and performance events, DIY haunted houses, taught a college course on the aesthetics of FUN and has directed a feature documentary film. He is an electrical engineer by day, measuring atomic clocks. Novick has had many solo art shows, been a part of several group shows and has a project in Meow Wolf (Denver). He is on the Board of NEXT Gallery (40 West Arts) and has adjudicated art shows for NEXT Gallery (Casa Bonita art shows) and Kanon Gallery (Dark Hearts) for several years as well as for Dink (Denver Independent Comic & Art Expo).
Selected artworks will be featured in an exhibition at Par.a.dox Gallery, and awards will be presented for Best in Show & Runner Up (JUROR: ANDREW NOVICK), as well as Fan Favorite (determined by viewer vote).
